Me Days

Life gets BEYOND a little crazy sometimes.  Between working, taking care of kids, pets, our houses and yards….the list can go on.  I’m sure I am not the only person who has a “to do” list a mile long and no time to do any of it.  Well, before we even begin getting into the holidays, take a “me” day.  It is necessary and will help your mind set for your every day crazy.

It feels so good to clean the house, do laundry, do things around the house with NO ONE home!  Ever since having A, I clean and do laundry a lot faster than what I use to it seems.  This works out perfectly on “me” days because then there is actual time for ME.  Majority of the time that’s a crazy thought in itself!

Once a portion of my house list is complete, I like to sit back with a cup of tea (big surprise), put on the Hallmark Channel or Bravo, blog, and draw.  Hallmark Channel and Bravo are my guilty pleasures!  Hallmark Channel has seasonal happy go lucky romance movies that are always on when I have the remote in my house from September until after Christmas.  Possibly later depending on what movies they come up with.  This world has so much negativity and sad events going on that I like to see happy movies.  It makes me feel better than watching the news.  Bravo has The Real Housewives…yes that’s what I said and meant.  Hence guilty pleasure 😉

After having a “me” day, I feel lighter, reset and recharged to take on life.  I also feel happier.  I’ve had time to clear my head and truly unwind.

Drawing can honestly do this automatically for me but I really don’t get time to do this right now.  Eventually I know I will find how to mix it back in.  Until then I’ll take what I can get 🙂

How do you like to spend your “me” days?
